The Dance Strategy Group (DSG) provides a strategic voice for dance in the South East and a forum for exchange and learning for its members. It aims to lead dance development in the region and to strengthen the infrastructure for and provision of dance through projects and partnerships.
Together we look for ways to ensure better distribution of information about training opportunities for artists across the region. Together we are developing The Other Yellow Pages - an online resource where artists, companies and organisations can upload information about events and opportunities in their area.
DSG is a network made up of experienced professional representatives working across dance in the South East. Members contribute as individuals rather than to advance the objectives of the organisations for whom they work. DSG aims to be a priority and action driven network, led by those working with, or in, dance.
Membership of DSG currently includes project funded and national portfolio organisations, venues, local authorities, producers, managers, education providers and funders.
Currently DSG's priorities include:
• Face to Face conference
• Big Dance
• An audience with…Seminar Programme
• Workforce development
• Space directory
• Collating and sharing dance audience development methodologies and data
DSG is an informal and un-constituted group that is managed and coordinated by South East Dance. DSG is responsive to the needs of its members, who collectively set the agenda in line with perceived sector need. If you would like to propose ideas for discussion by the group, please contact one of the current members listed below.
