eastleigh festival of music
The Eastleigh Festival of
Music & Mela represents and
celebrates the diversity that makes up our local community and has
become the most important community event in the area, and
continues to go from strength to strength. Eastleigh Music
Festival & Mela is quite unique in
the way that it incorporates the diverse styles of music that it
does, with high quality arts accessible to all ages & cultures
of our community. The Music Festival has a strong focus on young
local talent and is committed to nurturing this talent.
In 2011 the festival featured Eliza Carthy
Band, James Yorkston Trio, Stornoway with The North Sea Radio
Orchestra, Dry the River, The Leisure Society and many more.

The Eastleigh Music Festival
& Mela features the very best in folk music, a free local band
showcase or home grown talent, emerging artists that are
pushing the boundaries on the nu-folk/acoustic/indie scene and the
Eastleigh Mela – our free multi-cultural celebration in partnership
with the Asian Welfare & Cultural Association.
