The Eastleigh Festival of Music & Mela represents and celebrates the diversity that makes up our local community and has become the most important community event in the area, and continues to go from strength to strength. Eastleigh Music Festival & Mela is quite unique in the way that it incorporates the diverse styles of music that it does, with high quality arts accessible to all ages & cultures of our community. The Music Festival has a strong focus on young local talent and is committed to nurturing this talent.

In 2011 the festival featured Eliza Carthy Band, James Yorkston Trio, Stornoway with The North Sea Radio Orchestra, Dry the River, The Leisure Society and many more.

The Eastleigh Music Festival & Mela features the very best in folk music, a free local band showcase or home grown talent, emerging artists that are pushing the boundaries on the nu-folk/acoustic/indie scene and the Eastleigh Mela – our free multi-cultural celebration in partnership with the Asian Welfare & Cultural Association.
