enjoy sharing arts
Eastleigh Borough Council’s Enjoy Sharing Arts
groups (previously known as Elders Share Arts) has been running for
over 10 years and continues, in terms of members, to go from
strength to strength, continually attracting new
members.
They are held on a termly basis throughout the
year in Chandler’s Ford, Eastleigh & Botley. A different art
form is covered each term and attendees receive professional
tuition, all their materials in a positive, friendly and safe
environment. These sessions respond directly to one of Eastleigh
Borough Council’s Strategic Priorities “A Healthy Community: active
and lively with a spirit of togetherness, health and
wellbeing.”
This Spring Term they will be doing
Watercolours and Tapestry
Sessions cost £20 per half term (5

£40 for full term (10 weeks) plus £5
towards materials.

The health and social benefits of art for
older people is well documented. Taking part in the Enjoy Sharing
Arts sessions that Eastleigh Borough Council offers, drastically
improves the quality of life for older residents in Chandler’s
Ford, Eastleigh & Botley. Older members of the community have
the opportunity of being involved in a communal activity which
stimulates mental, social and physical well-being.
