See some of the country’s best stand-up comedians this autumn at The Point.
The Noise Next Door open the venue's season of comedy with critically-acclaimed Uproar! in an evening of anarchic, side-splitting jokes and mind-blowing songs. Come early and take part in a practical workshop to flex your comedy muscles!
This season The Point plays host to three comedy giants, each one set to bring a unique style of stand-up to the venue. Kicking off the season on Friday 3rd November is 8 Out of 10 Cats team captain and stand-up professional Jason Manford. The evening is sold out, to join a waiting list call The Point’s Box Office on 023 8065 2333.
Returning to the venue on Tuesday 7th November is satirical comedian Mark Thomas with A Show That Gambles on the Future. Fresh from a successful run at Edinburgh Festival Fringe and following on from audience favourite The Red Shed, Mark sets out to discover what the future has in store for us. Tickets are £16.
Closing the season of stand-up is actor of stage and screen and popular comedian Omid Djalili. Schmuck for a Night returns for a second-run following acclaim from critics and audiences alike in 2016 – see it before it finishes! Tickets are £24.
Arrive early and enjoy a pre-show meal cooked fresh with locally-sourced ingredients from The Point’s recently re-furbished Café Bar. On comedy nights choose from three delicious homemade curries, accompanied by a crisp glass of wine or a bottle of craft beer.
Think you’re funny? This season The Point launches a Comedy Lab and Open Mic series for budding comedians in a bid to collaborate and support emerging writers and performers in a friendly and relaxed environment open to all.
