Point Squarefooters:
Create a springboard for young artists

Now firmly established as one of the south
east’s liveliest performing arts venues The Point welcomes 85,000
people through its doors each year. A vibrant programme of live
theatre, dance and music attracts audiences from a radius of 70
miles while a range of exciting participatory projects brings
together 12,000 people of all ages each year.
In November The Point’s
new phase3 space will be opened by the internationally celebrated
choreographer and dancer Akram Khan.
Phase3 will allow us to host more companies
over a longer period and to perform and to lead workshops. It will
provide unique events for our audiences such as open rehearsals and
in-progress showings of new work being made. Most of all it will
create fantastic opportunities for aspiring young artists to work
together to develop new skills, ideas and collaborations.
You can help us to make this happen by
becoming a Squarefooter. For just £25 you can donate and name a
square foot of the new sprung maple floor in phase3 and your
important contribution will be recognised on the Squarefooters name
board at the entrance to the main studio. You could even buy a
square foot or two as a gift or as a memorial and put it in
the person’s own name on the board.
A big
thank you to all of our Squarefooters so far.......
Your gift will create a vital springboard for
young artists and a lasting foundation for new ideas.
