friendly class for young children, teaching movement to music using

creativity, balance, co-ordination and rhythm. Please wear bare
feet and comfortable clothing.

Mega Moves

Creative Dance for 5-7years. An imaginative and playful creative
dance class exploring different themes and stories each week, such
as animals, fairies and even high school Musical. Children will be
led through a fun and gentle warm up and, together with the
teacher, develop dances based on their own imaginations and
creativity.

Feet First Youth Dance
Company
6.15pm – 7.45pm
(12 - 15 years)
Contemporary dance based performance company
linked to the senior group. The class covers technique,
choreography and performance. As a company member you will create
and perform a new piece each term with the rehearsal director. Feet
First perform locally and in the southern region. As a member you
will also have access to professional guest artists who
work on various projects throughout the year. Each term
the company also regularly watches professional dance
companies. You will have to be committed, enthusiastic and
passionate about dance. Minimum commitment of a 12 week
term.

For 8-13 year olds. Learn the latest hip-hop
style and funky moves - as seen on MTV. You will start with a warm
up and then be led through various routines each term. This is a
great way to keep in shape and to build stamina and endurance.

Kickstart

Creative dance performance group for 8-12 year
olds. An opportunity to take part in a creative contemporary
dance class and become part of a performance group, where you can
create and choreograph your own dances, learn contemporary
technique and perform each term, as well as having lots of fun and
making new friends.

Hip hop / street

Learn the latest hip-hop style and funky moves - as seen on MTV.
You will start with a warm up and then be led through various
routines each term. This is a great way to keep in shape and to
build stamina and endurance. With the beginner’s level all you need
is rhythm, you will be taught the basics of this popular dance
style. Intermediate level you will need some experience in hip
hop/street. Trainers are recommended.

Beginners level for 11-16 years. Do you want
to be the next b-boy or b-girl? If so this class is for you. The
class will cover the basic steps of breakin’ from a six step to a
rock top, building strength and technique of this dynamic dance

The Royal Ballet Junior School
Associate Programme
The Royal Ballet Junior Associate Programme are currently
holding its Associates classes for children aged 8 - 13 years at
The Point.
The Associate Programme is designed to enhance a
young dancer’s current training as well as introduce them to The
Royal Ballet School School’s System of Training.
The Junior Associate auditions (for children aged 8 -
10 years as at 31st August in the year of entry) will be
taking place at The Point on Wednesday 29th April
2009.

Please note: Junior Associate classes only
(8 to 10 years old) will be held from September
2009. Mid-Associate classes (11 to 13 years old)
will continue to be held at Covent Garden in London.
