ENLIVEN Fashion Project 2013
Saturday 22nd June 11am - 4pm

This event is a must for anyone who
has a passion for fashion! Following the success of the ENLIVEN
Fashion Project over the past two years The Point invites you to
drop in for this special fashion extravaganza, featuring catwalk
shows, an art and design market, live DJs and much more!
Watch catwalk shows featuring work by local designers and
fashion students, including designs created in partnership with the
charity sector to promote ‘upcycling’ and sustainable fashion. Why
not also browse the art and design market featuring textiles,
clothing, jewellery and more! All the goods on offer have been made
by artists and designer-makers from Eastleigh’s Sorting Office and
The Point’s West Wing Artists, as well as by other artists and
designers from the local region.
For anyone interested in beginning a
career in the fashion industry there will also be opportunities to
speak with representatives from Southampton Solent University and
our local colleges, who will talk through the course options which
are on offer.
This year the event is supported by Southampton Solent
University and a team of world famous designers including Wayne
Hemingway MBE of Hemingway Design, The Vintage Festival and
co-founder of Red or Dead; Mia Nisbet of the ethical fashion label
MIA; and the renowned women’s shoe designer Nicholas Kirkwood. Past
projects have also been supported by royal milliner Philip Treacy
OBE and luxury brand owner Chris Liu.
