Shams presents Thin Ice

May 1940. Greenland.
Cut off from civilisation and
surrounded by ice, Daniel sits frozen to death in a tiny hut.
As Richard and Laura arrive too late to rescue him, the body
thaws and secrets surface - threatening their marriage, beliefs and
ultimately their survival. A wartime thriller and love story, Thin
Ice is a powerful and darkly comic exploration of people finding
courage in the face of adversity.
Produced by Time Won’t Wait and supported by the Hat Factory;
Newbury Corn Exchange, ARC Stockton and artsdepot.
“Beautifully simple +
effective...” Edinburgh guide
'lingers long in the memory... has a glacial fascination and
a real theatrical swagger. This genuinely intriguing piece of
storytelling theatre... has both an icy precision and the quality
of a dream or recurring nightmare' Lyn Gardner, The
Guardian (on Reykjavik)
