Dance Intern (for up to 12 months)
£14,759 a year pro-rota (30 hours a week)
We are looking for an enthusiastic graduate to work as a Dance Intern within the busy dance department at The Point.
The role will provide support for the department, including administrating and co-ordinating the Point’s dance classes programme, education workshops and community projects. The Dance Intern will also assist with the Point Youth Dance Company, teaching and attending rehearsals and performances and carrying out all administration for the company.
This placement provides a unique opportunity for a keen individual to gain invaluable and varied experience of working in a professional dance venue as part of a busy, dynamic team. As part of the role you will benefit from a number of training opportunities, networking events and professional development.
The successful applicant will be able to show initiative and understand dance in a community context. Strong administrative, communication and IT skills are important and a real passion for the arts is essential.

The Berry Theatre is a 300 seat venue in Hampshire specialising in theatre for family audiences. This year will be The Berry Theatre’s fourth Christmas production; ‘Jack’ is written by Olivier-Award winning writer Mike Kenny for ages four plus and their families with a cast of three actors. The production combines live performance with song and puppetry.
