Year 10 Work Experience 2021
Are you looking to do work experience with an arts venue?
This July we are pleased to be offering Year 10 students the opportunity to complete a work experience placement with our venue. In 2020 we ran our first Year 10 online work experience programme, giving participants valuable insight in producing, financing, and marketing. Students also created their own virtual arts projects and completed their Bronze Arts Award
“I am so impressed that you were able to offer such a fabulous work experience for the students, despite the fact that we are living through a pandemic!”
Our next Year 10 Work Experience week will take place between Monday 5th July and Friday 9th July 2021.
The location of the work experience week will be either at The Point, Eastleigh or online and will be dependant on the current Covid-19 guidelines set out by the Government.
To take part you will need to complete an application form. Details and a link to the form are below.
Please note that to ensure the best possible experience, only a limited number of placements are available.

Please note: In order to empower young people to take the first step in their careers and to give them valuable experience of communicating with potential employers, we require that those applying do so themselves.
We understand that some applicants may need additional support to complete the form and we ask that you make the reasons for this clear within your application. We request that a parent/guardian completes the last section of the form and is copied into all email correspondence.
Whilst on a general placement with us you will achieve an Arts Award Bronze Qualification.
The activities you take part in will contribute to a written portfolio that we will submit on your behalf. The Bronze Arts Award is a recognised qualification that can be put on your CV for later work or applications.
I really like the idea of working towards a project as well as learning about the theatre and its employees... I have loved working here and would recommend it to anyone, who loves theatre or the arts.
