Intensive training course: Monday 21st June to Wed 23rd June, 9am to 5pm

Schools Workshops: Thursday 24th & Friday 25th June, 9am to 12pm

The Point is delighted to be working with the David Glass Ensemble to host this three day intensive workshop in our light-filled creation space, plus the opportunity to apply skills that have been learnt in local schools to round off the week.

Participants will learn about the David Glass Ensemble’s unique five stages of Creative Practice, that are used in all forms of creative activity, from project development to arts projects and teaching. They will then apply this knowledge using creative play and physical theatre, developing ways of working that put young people at the heart of the creative process, and taking away a toolkit of resources that can be applied when working in a creative context with young people.

The week will also incorporate David Glass’ new research and development project called Galapagos - an international project to explore the theme of climate change. David’s approach to teaching is provocative, playful, challenging and rigorous, so participants can expect a practical, reflective and empowering experience to take back to their own work.
