Enjoy this introductory class with Maud Boothby of Fungus and Mould and create your own tea towel to take home and keep.
'We will make a printing block from pre-cut wooden shapes stuck onto a wooden base, experimenting with different layouts and spacing of your shapes. We will then experiment with different colours and layouts on paper to get the hang of printing with your block and once you are happy with your pattern we can move on to printing your tea towel. I will give you guidance throughout, you will be so surprised at the amazing geometric patterns that can be created with simple shapes.
For printing your organic cotton tea towels, we will be using water based eco fabric paint and you will be able to take home your block to carry on printing fabrics and papers to your heart's content!'
Please wear scruffy clothing, an apron and bring a notebook for making notes.
This workshop is brought to you in partnership with The Sorting Office
