In 1970, the Miss World competition took place in London, hosted by US comedy legend, Bob Hope. Claiming that beauty competitions demeaned women, the newly formed Women's Liberation Movement achieved overnight fame by invading the stage. Philippa Lowthorpe’s acclaimed comedy-drama features an impressive British cast including Keira Knightley, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Jessie Buckley and Keeley Hawes.

With support of the BFI, awarding funds from the National Lottery, we’re thrilled to be reopening our cinema with our Films for All programme.

We look forward to welcoming our community back in to our safe and socially distanced auditorium with three cinematic strands: family-friendly favourites; mother and baby-friendly screenings and films celebrating the diversity of South Asian cinema.

Ticket prices have been kept to just £5 to enable as much of our community to take advantage of them as possible and include a hot drink and a biscuit for you to enjoy whilst watching. Family screenings on Saturdays also include a snack box with all children's tickets purchased.
