A busy schedule of weekly dance and theatre classes, with activities from pre-school to post-retirement and classes for beginners to advanced.
We also offer an inclusive programme of weekly dance and drama activities, designed to enable disabled young people and adults to develop their creative skills in a relaxed and supportive environment.

Creative and friendly, our Dance and Theatre Companies enable participants to develop a wide range of skills, working with experienced professional practitioners. There are no auditions.

We're looking for outstanding young dancers between 13- 21yrs, who are driven, committed and passionate about dance to join HYDC.
ORB Auditions Now Open
We’re now also auditioning for a new cohort for ORB, a company dedicated to creating the highest quality contemporary dance training for aspiring and passionate young male dancers aged 14-25.
Young Participant's Bursary
As part of Eastleigh Borough Council’s ongoing commitment to creating healthy communities, we are pleased to provide high quality and exciting participation opportunities for our residents aged between 5-21 years of age.
We are able to offer a limited number of bursaries on a means tested basis to help cover the cost of activity fees for those in most financial need. These activities currently include our Youth Theatres, Youth Dance Companies (PYDC, HYDC & ORB), inclusive Next Step Dance Company and The Point Training scheme.
How to apply for a bursary with us
Those applying for a Bursary place should complete and submit an application form at least two weeks prior to the start of the activity that they wish to take part in. Unfortunately any applications submitted after this period will not be able to be considered until the following term.
Bursary places are limited so please only apply for a Bursary if you are experiencing financial hardship.
