Nora is the coming together of dancers Eleanor Sikorski and Flora Wellesley Wesley. In this, their first collaborative endeavour they perform two new pieces which have been made especially for them:
Eleanor And Flora Music
By Jonathon Burrows and Matteo Fargion
A new translation of Morton Feldman’s For John Cage, the source of Burrows and Fargion’s Both Sitting Duet, 2002. This new piece reimagines the earlier work as a standing performance, building silent music from a gestural landscape of touch.
By Liz Aggiss
A story of competitiveness and hormonal imbalance in which shit tricks become cheap laughs, and a Bach is worse than its bite.
Inspired and framed by clippings, off cuts, personal history, archives and assorted individuals: Malvina MaGuire, Niddy
Impekoven, Max Wall, Hilde Holger, an enthusiastic sock seller in Singapore and domestic drivel, BLOODY NORA! is a story of competitiveness, hormones and friendship.
Age suitability: 14+
The last piece, BLOODY NORA!, contains strong language.
