Your first look at Autumn 2023 at The Point

Our exciting Autumn 2023 season of events at The Point goes on sale this week!

Tickets for the majority of the programme which runs from September until the end of the year will go on sale at 10am on Friday 7 July, with priority booking for Friends and Best Friends opening 48 hours earlier.

Our stage is jam-packed with entertainment for all the family, kicking off with award-winning interactive comedy game show WiFi Wars and Plastic Paradiso, a gentle, timely dance-theatre show raising awareness of plastic in our oceans.

Crowd-pleasers include Think Floyd and Eastleigh boy Elio Pace who brings his phenomenal Billy Joel Albums Show tour to a close with a visit to his hometown venue, marvellous magic in Morgan & West's Massive Magic Show for Kids and comic Ed Byrne tests the theory that humour = tragedy + time by mining the most tragic event in his life for laughs.

Join Jo Fong & George Orange for a joyful dose of dance, theatre, circus & silliness in The Rest of Our Lives, spoken word dark comedy Cracking by Shôn Dale-Jones brings us a completely made-up true story while The Paper Birds teach us powerful lessons of empathy in the context of the current refugee crisis with the premiere of Feel Me.

We've got plenty to keep the kids busy over half term as we welcome back legends of family theatre Stuff and Nonsense with Three Little Pigs while The Point's associate artist Ricky Tart introduces us to his new family favourite, The Crockodogopig. There's storytelling for all ages with Storytribe's Seasonal Spectaculars and The Girl and the Dragon. Young children will love Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler's Tales from Acorn Wood while older siblings are invited to take a seat in the immersive set of Kinder, a moving and poignant story of a Czech-Jewish girl escaping to the UK on a Kindertransport train in the 1930s.

If you thought Christmas was just for kids, think again! Our alternative festive programme features cosmic game show Astrology Bingo with Figs in Wigs, spine-tingling puppetry in Yule and another hot toddy of a burlesque show with Hundred Watt Club. There's lots for little ones too as we welcome back Nick Cope for a festive family concert and host Santa himself for Eastleigh's Christmas Lights Switch-on before transforming our studio theatre into an icy cave in Yeti - more details on this coming soon.

All of our regular favourites return so you can keep your babies and toddlers entertained during Too Good Tuesdays including our new Tiny Dancers session for little ones that love to move and groove. Enjoy a film and a friendly welcome at our Inclusive Cinema, learn what you can do to help our planet at our Sustainability Hub or join our regular classes for adults and young people in dance, theatre and crafts.

So whether you're visiting to enjoy a performance, a workshop or just looking for somewhere warm, comfortable and friendly to sit and relax with a hot drink, The Point is open and here for you this Autumn and Winter.
