This autumn The Point presents a whole bunch of theatre and dance for families, suitable for toddlers, teenagers and the grown-ups.
This half-term see critics favourite Fagin’s Twist by Avant Garde Dance on 20th and 21st October. Fusing hip hop dance and traditional theatre this visually-impressive, toe-tapping performance is perfect fun for all aged 8+. Based on the Oliver Twist character, the show is a new and exciting adaptation for the whole family.
Fresh from a sell-out tour in 2016, professional ballet company Let’s All Dance presents The Owl & the Pussycat at the venue on 25th and 26th October. Made for children aged 2-11 years and their families, and tailored for children with special needs, this is a spellbinding original ballet that will delight all ages. Children are invited to a 30 minute post-show ballet workshop, led by the company’s professionals, priced at just £3 per person.
House of Stray Cats presents The Dream Factory on 27th October. Created for curious children aged 4-9 and dreamers of all ages, this production is a sensory puppet-led adventure and exquisite musical where no imagination is too big.
Alongside the venue’s season of performance for families, The Point hosts an array of engaging dance classes for children including a new-for -2017 Sunday Circus School and The Point Youth Theatre for young people aged 8-21.
The Point’s participation strand is led by expert teachers experienced in working with young people in a safe, empowering and inclusive environment.
