Holistic Treatments

As part of our Health and Wellbeing weekend you can also choose to have a half hour treatment with Sensib Holistics on Saturday 1st February.

All treatments are priced at £25.

Choose from the following relaxing therapies:

Reflexology is a holistic approach that combines treating the feet or hands with the whole person, mind, body and soul, promoting a feeling of balance in the often stressful pace of life in the modern world. The therapist applies pressure to specific zones on the hands and feet that correspond with other areas of the body Reflexology is not a foot massage. The reflexologist may massage your feet a little to relax you before they start, but the technique itself is about applying firm pressure to specific points on the foot.

Jin Shin Jyutsu
Jin Shin Jyutsu is a holistic, healing treatment, which uses gentle touch to balance your body, mind and spirit.

Jin Shin Jyutsu is a bit like acupuncture, in that it is based on the idea that our bodies are mapped by paths which carry "qi" (say "chee") or energy. When the energy flows freely, you are balanced and healthy. When the flow of energy is blocked, you experience pain, discomfort, or poor physical or emotional health; you are unbalanced.

Jin Shin Jyutsu helps unblock and keep your energy flowing by tapping into your energy paths via 26 "safety energy locks", points on your body similar to acupoints in acupuncture.

Reiki (Ray-ki) - is an energy technique used for stress reduction and relaxation allowing everyone to tap into an unlimited supply of energy to improve health and wellbeing. It is a way of transmitting this energy to you and to others through the hands. The treatment feels like a wonderful glowing radiance that flows through the therapist to the client treating the whole person including the body, emotions, mind and spirit creating the beneficial effects of relaxation, peace, security and wellbeing. The client is fully clothed during this treatment as it is not massage - it is a thoroughly relaxing experience and can work safely alongside any medical treatments.

Seated Thai Massage
Thai massage is one of the four main methods of traditional Thai medicine and it is based on work with 72,000 energy channels in the human body. The emphasis is on 10 of these channels called Sen Sib. This treatment will be on an ergonomic chair and focus on the neck, back and shoulder area (through clothing).
