Safe and social reopening for The Point Eastleigh’s Café Bar

The Point Eastleigh is delighted to announce that its Café Bar has reopened to the public.

From Monday 7th September, the historic building in the town centre will be open on weekdays from 10am until 2pm for coffee and light bites.

Tables can be pre-booked for meetings between work colleagues and friends and the space offers free wifi and socially distanced, safe meeting spaces in accordance with current Government guidelines.

Hand sanitisers will be available, and a one-way experience will be clearly marked around the space. Staff have had additional training and will be on hand to assist customers with a safe journey through the venue.

Cabinet Lead for Economy, Cllr Derek Pretty, said: “I’m delighted that the popular Café Bar at The Point is reopening for local people to safely enjoy and we look forward to welcoming our customers back. We’re committed to do all we can to help the economic recovery of our town and this is another step along that road.”

Artistic Director of the venue Sacha Lee added: “We’ve been very busy making sure it’s safe for you to come back into The Point and we’ll be frequently cleaning and disinfecting throughout.

“Good coffee and cake is a must and we’re stocking a range of light savoury bites, treats, soft drinks and alcoholic drinks, selecting as many as we can from our favourite local suppliers. We are so looking forward to welcoming you back into the building!”
