The Point Bursary Scheme
What is The Point Bursary Scheme?
The Point Bursary Scheme helps support people aged up to 25 years old to overcome financial barriers to engaging in creative learning with funds generously donated by former local charity Arts & Youth Trust for Eastleigh.
We can help with a bursary to cover 50% or 100% of the cost of your class fees each term, depending on the level of help you require.
Who can apply for The Point Bursary Scheme?
The Point Bursary Scheme is especially for young people aged 5 to 25 who are interested in creative activities, but whose circumstances have made it difficult to get involved.
Examples of these circumstances could be but are not limited to:
- Universal Credit
Free School Meals / Pupil Premium - Personal Independence Payment (PIP)
- Disability Living Allowance
- Carers Allowance
- Young care leaver
16+ living independently of parents/ guardians
Young people not in employment, education or training - Families where a parent/guardian is living with a long-term or serious health condition
How to apply
If The Point Bursary Scheme sounds like it could be for you, then you (if you are over 18) or your parent or guardian can apply via the form below before the start of each term.
We do require proof of how you meet the criteria for qualifying for a bursary - for example a benefit award letter, a hospital consultant's clinic letter, etc. Any evidence submitted will be treated as confidential.

What happens next?
We are notified after you submit your application and we will contact you within 10 working days to confirm the level of support we will give. If you have applied for a bursary to cover 50% of the class fees for the term, you will need to pay the remaining half of the fees before the term begins.
